Language is the backbone of the trip

Cyclists come to Girona for the roads. Our students come for the language, then spend the rest of the day on the food, history and festivals that go with it.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need to speak Spanish or Catalan already?

No. All short courses start from zero and are taught in Catalan with support in English (and Spanish if it helps you).

Why learn Catalan rather than Spanish?

Catalan is the everyday language of Girona, and around 10 million people speak it across Catalonia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands, Andorra and beyond. Locals are delighted when a visitor makes the effort. If you want Spanish, we teach that too as an Instituto Cervantes accredited centre.

Is accommodation included?

You can book course-only, or with a hand-picked boutique hotel or apartment in or near the old town. Prices are shown for both.

Is it suitable for families, couples or solo travellers?

Yes to all three. Most of our students travel solo or as couples. Families and private groups can have their own dates.

How do I get to Girona?

Girona has its own airport. Barcelona airport is about 1h15 away, and the high-speed train from Barcelona takes under 40 minutes.

What if I need to cancel?

Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. See our booking terms for details.
